Ghana's Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced significant initiatives to strengthen the country's higher education sector.
These include the appointment of new leadership at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) and a €200 million proposal to enhance UENR's infrastructure. The government is also set to disburse GH₵10 million each to revive four struggling technical universities. Additionally, the Minister has tasked Bolgatanga Technical University to lead in sustainable agricultural innovation, emphasizing the need for practical, hands-on approaches in education.
These moves aim to modernize Ghana's tertiary education and better align it with national development goals.
