The Ghanaian government is taking significant steps to strengthen its higher education sector.
President Mahama has appointed Dormaahene as Chairman of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Governing Council, while the Education Minister has inaugurated the council and urged them to drive progress. The government is also set to disburse GH₵10 million each to four struggling technical universities to help revive them. Additionally, the Education Ministry is reviewing a €200 million proposal to enhance UENR's infrastructure.
These moves signal a strong commitment to improving university governance, infrastructure, and financial stability.
